RESEARCH INTERESTS
My goal is to understand how the evolutionary history of fungal species has shaped their ecology, present distribution, and their communities. In my past and current research, I have been using a diverse set of approaches to study fungal diversity: 1) molecular systematics; 2) molecular microbial ecology; 3) fungal population genetics and comparative phylogeography.
