RESEARCH INTERESTS
Cathy came to Alaska to fill the EPSCoR Plant-Microbe Interactions Research and Development Professional position in July, 2009. She is working to develop and optimize cutting-edge molecular methods for the study of plant-microbe interactions, including characterization of alder-associated Frankia in soil, PLFA and high-throughput stable isotope probing.
