Getting an Internet Connection (IAB, B&W)

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:

Ethernet adapter card for your computer
Ethernet cable (you must provide)

PLUG IT IN:

Simply connect your computer to one of the ethernet drops in your office.
Even though it may look like you have an available ethernet port, it might not be active. Initially, only the upper left port was activated. The other port might be active if someone in the past had it connected, but this has not been done in most cases.

NETWORK SETTINGS (Windows):

Open the network control panel. Scroll down the list box to find the TCP/IP protocol for your ethernet adapter. Note that you might have additional TCP/IP protocols listed if you have a modem or other network adapters so be sure you select the correct one. Then click on Properties.

Windows 2000/XP

Select the option to "Obtain IP address automatically".

Select the option to "Obtain DNS server address automatically".

Windows 95/98/ME

Select the option to "Obtain IP address automatically".

Set Gateway = 137.229.45.1 (Irving 1) or 137.229.50.1 (Arctic Health)

Set Primary DNS = 137.229.55.15

Set Secondary DNS = 137.229.18.15
