Core Lab Equipment: Millipore Milli-Q Synthesis (water purification system)

Description:

The Milli-Q Synthesis water purification system produces pyrogen and nuclease free water with a TOC (Total Organic Carbon) content of 2-5ppb, and pyrogen levels (EU/mL) of <0.001. The flow rate is about 1L per minute. You can use the dispenser on manual control or a fixed volume can be selected.

User information:

The instructions are posted on the wall to the right of the instrument. If you are concerned with making sure your water is extra clean you may want to run the water a few minutes in the sink before filling your container. Another option is to take the tube off and dispense directly into your container. As with all Core Lab instruments please sign-up. If you are getting lots of small volumes you are welcome to sign up once with a total estimate of water used. If you are filling a large container please place it in the sink so that if it overflows the water will go down the drain. You are welcome to leave the room while you are waiting for your container to fill as long as it is in the sink. Please make sure the clear tube is empty of water before you leave, this will help keep things clean. If you have any questions ask a Core Lab tech.
