Registration

Registration: Online registration opens 3 March through 30 April, 1200 h AST and Late Registration 1 May through 21 June.  On-site registration will be available 24 June in the Regents Great Hall foyer of the Fine Arts Complex. All active meeting participants (i.e., those contributing papers or posters and attending technical sessions) and vendors must register. Regular registration fees for general members will be $280, and late registration (after 1 May; listed as 'original price' on registration page) will be $350. Student registration will be $180 and $225 for early and late registration, respectively.

Banquet Tickets: Regular members and guest tickets will be $40; student tickets will be $25. The banquet is set for Saturday, 27 June, 1830 to 2400 h at the Westmark Hotel & Conference Center.

Picnic Tickets: Tickets for the picnic at the Alaska Salmon Bake will be available for $30 each. Set outside among authentic relics of Alaska's gold mining heritage. All you care to eat Slow Roasted Prime Rib, Beer Battered Halibut, Fire Grilled Salmon, and Bering Sea Cod. Dinner includes salad bar, baked beans, rolls, dessert, and beverages (beer and wine are available at extra cost). After dinner, you can wander to the Bear Gallery in the Civic Center or wander through Gold Rush Town which includes real cabins from the early days of Fairbanks.

Field Trips: Registration and payment for the field trips will be available during the general online registration. All persons attending the field trips (including children, however see below on fee exemption) must be registered, either as a conference participant or as a guest of a conference participant. Field trips are now full. Waitlist participants will be contacted if space becomes available.

Guest Registration: Guest registration fees ($30) apply to any adult guests who will not be attending technical sessions, contributing papers or posters, or participating in committee meetings but who may want to attend social events. Adults and children attending field trips will need to be registered as guests during registration, but do not need to pay the guest fee (choose the guest registration option and during payment enter FieldTripsOnly as the discount code).

Meal Plan: Meal plans for Lola Tilly commons (including Meals with a Mammalogist) will be available for purchase during online registration. A full meal plan (three meals on Thursday and Sunday, breakfast and lunch on Friday and Saturday) is available for $87.50. A reduced meal plan (breakfast and lunch on all four days; $68.60) is available for all four days of the meetings. You will also be able to purchase Wednesday supper and/or Monday breakfast separately. More information about meal options is available here.

Gordon Kirkland Memorial Run/Walk for Research: Registration for the run/walk ($15) will be available when you pick up your ASM registration packet.

EPSCoR Landscape Genetics Registration Waivers: A limited number of waivers for registration fees are available for students giving oral presentations on landscape genetics topics. Please see additional information here before registering for the meetings.

Payment:  Registration will be available online starting 3 March. Online payment by credit card via a secured server is preferred.  Credit card charges will show up on your billing statement as being from the Fairbanks Convention and Visitors Bureau.

If you pay by check, money order, or purchase requisition (in US dollars), complete the online registration form and select offline as your payment option. Print out your online registration form and send it with payment to Maria Russell (907-474-7172; ), Institute of Arctic Biology, 311 Irving I, 902 N. Koyukuk Drive, Fairbanks, Alaska, 99775-7000.

Partial Payment: For those of you paying with procurement cards, personal accounts, or a combination of methods, we have structured the registration process to accommodate multiple payments. During fee payment select the items and amounts you would like to pay for with a particular card, enter that card information, and select finish. Confirmation information will be shown for that payment (please be patient as it can sometimes take a few minutes to process your card), and a confirmation email will be sent to you. After that log on using your personal information and confirmation code to pay for the balance on your account.

Refund Policy: Refunds (minus a $50 handling fee) will be made if written or e-mailed notification is received on or before 15 May 2008.  Full refunds on the Denali Trip must be requested before 30 April 2009. No refunds will be granted after 15 May 2008.
